Third Announcement
The XVII International Symposium "Atmospheric and Ocean Optics. Atmospheric Physics" will be held at V.E. Zuev Institute of Atmospheric Optics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SB RAS), city Tomsk, 28 June -1 July, 2011. The Symposium is a traditional meeting of atmospheric and ocean optics and atmospheric physics community, which has a long history as a successor of the symposiums on Laser Propagation in Atmosphere and Laser Remote Sensing of Atmosphere beginning in the early seventies XX century and organized by Academician Vladimir E. Zuev.

It is planned to organize four conferences (A, B, C, D), one workshop (E) and conference (F) for young scientists in frame of the Symposium.

Topics Wave Propagation in Random Inhomogeneous Media. Adaptive Optics. Nonlinear Effects at Radiation Propagation in Atmosphere and Water Media. Multiple Scattering in Optical Remote Sensing. Image Transfer and Processing.
C. Optical Investigation of Atmosphere and Ocean

F. Conference for young scientists « Atmospheric and Ocean Optics Atmospheric Physics»
The Symposium will include presentations of invited papers at the plenary session (30min), invited papers at the conference (20 min), oral (10 min) and poster presentations. Working languages of the Symposium are English and Russian.
A notebook (MS Office, Windows XP) with multimedia projector will be provided for oral presentations and lectures. An area of format A will be provided for poster presentations. Please, inform us beforehand about the necessity of additional devices and/or software.

Proceeding will be ready to the beginning of the symposium. Proceeding will have ISBN number. Presentations selected by organizing committee will be included in special issue of the journal "Atmospheric and ocean optics".
Symposium Location
Symposium will take place in city Tomsk. Tomsk one of the most old city Siberia, was founded in 1604 originally as an Ostrog, on right bank of the river on southeast West-Siberian lowland. Siberian Afini is the modern unofficial name of Tomsk. Now Tomsk city is large cultural, educational and scientific center of West Siberia, where there are 9 Universities, 15 Scientific Institutions, and the Special Economic Zone of Technical Innovation Type. The city is famous for its beautiful wooden and stone architectures XVIII-XX centuries. It is Siberian baroque, classic and modern styles. Beside architectural monuments there are a lot of interesting places related to history, culture and nature of Tomsk city and it’s around.
The excursion will be organized for participants of the Symposium.

Tour of the city of Tomsk will be organized for participants of the Symposium.

Accommodation:
Accommodation of participants is planned in Akademgorodok in the hotel "Rubin", 500 meter from the Symposium location. The hotel has limited number of rooms, so administration asks participants of the conference to reserve rooms beforehand. Please inform the organizing committee about your need for a room reservation.
