XXVI International Symposium "Atmospheric and Ocean Optics. Atmospheric Physics"

Fourth Announcement

The XXVI International Symposium "Atmospheric and Ocean Optics. Atmospheric Physics" will be organized by the Institute V.E. Zuev Institute of Atmospheric Optics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SB RAS), Institute of Geosphere Dynamics RAS and Institute of Solar-Terrestrial Physics SB RAS in Moscow, July 6 – July 10, 2020.
A competition for the best oral presentation are planned to be organize for young scientists under 35 years old.
Working languages of the Symposium are English and Russian.
Symposium schedule includes plenary (30 min), invited (20 min), oral (15 min), and poster reports.

All plenary, invited and oral presentations will be presented in an online video conference.
Poster presentations are posted on the site with the possibility of discussion in a chat. The poster session is open from 10.00 to 18.00 daily.

To participate in the Symposium in video conference mode you need to download and install the Zoom app on your computer
When connecting to the conference, you must enter the participant's last name and initials (initials after the last name!).
 
  1. The chair of the section will lead the process of prioritizing reports.
  2. Please remember to turn off your microphone during reports presentation or it will be done by the technical staff of the conference.
  3. At the end of the report you can post questions in the General chat of the meeting or write the word QUESTION. The Chairman will give you the floor.

Publication of the Symposium materials
The materials of the Symposium are published in electronic form https://symp.iao.ru/ru/aoo/26/proceedings
Some of the reports selected by the program Committee will be recommended for publication in the journal "Atmospheric and Oceanic Optics".
It is planned to publish a special issue of the international open access journal Atmosphere (SCI journal, Impact Factor: 2,397). The cost of publishing one article is 1400 Swiss francs. Participants of the Symposium will receive a 20% discount for paying for the article. Articles prepared according to the rules of the publishing house MDPI Instructions for Authors, are accepted on the website of the special issue of the journal https://www.mdpi.com/journal/atmosphere/special_issues/atmos_physics  until September 10, 2020
Proceedings of SPIE (The International Society for Optical Engineering http://spiedl.org/) with the reports presented at the XXVI International Symposium “Atmospheric and Ocean Optics. Atmospheric Physics” will be published in electronic form in December 2020.
