The XX Symposium on High Resolution Molecular Spectroscopy will be held in the Holiday Village “Chara” located on the shore of Baikal Lake, 250 km from Irkutsk city. This Holiday Village offers country-style rooms with a private entrance. Each room at Chara has wooden décor, and the bathrooms include a shower. The cottages come with a dining area and a terrace. Chara’s restaurant with a fireplace serves Russian and local Buryat cuisine. Barbecue facilities are also available.
You can make your reservation by e-mail via local organizers arbatskaya.evgenia@ex.istu.edu (Evgeniya ARBATSKAYA) as the website of the hotel has no English version (https://chara-baikal.ru/). Due to the popularity of this tourist destination, the room booking for the summer months begins in March. As a rule, the most demanded rooms are "standard". So please take this information into account when planning your trip and make reservations as early as possible.

Traditionally, the Symposium comprises the invited talks (up to 45 min), the oral (up to 15 min) and poster presentations. The type of report should be indicated during abstract submission. The Program Committee reserves the right to change the type of the report or even to reject the submitted report if it does not correspond to the Symposium topic.
There will be a best young scientist talk/poster award for students and postgraduates who do not have a scientific degree. If you are an applicant for the award please mark it in your abstract file (see “Extra info” section).
We plan to hold a round table discussion on "Databases and Information Systems in Spectroscopy". If you would like to participate, please select section 8 when registering in the system.
The abstracts have to be submitted before May 1st, 2023 using the online registration form or by e-mail to the scientific secretary of HighRus-2023, Evgeniya STARIKOVA (highrus@iao.ru).
Please note that if you have already participated at least one time in conference held by Institute of Atmospheric Optics (Tomsk, Russia), you are already registered in the database of conference participants - enter your login and password. If you have forgotten your password, use the field "Forgot your password?" or contact scientific secretary.
The abstract should be prepared in "MS Word for Windows" format (RTF). The abstract must fit on one A4 page (11pt Times New Roman typeface, all text single-spaced) including title, list of authors, text, and references. Abstracts should not include figures and formulas! An example of an abstract can be downloaded from https://symp.iao.ru/en/hrms/20/auxinfo after February 20, 2023. Please, download a sample of abstract design and insert your text according to the given format! In the case of an oral report, only the name of the speaker is underlined in the abstract, in the case of a poster report, the names of all co-authors participating in the Symposium should be underlined. The file of an abstract should be named by the name of the participant who submits the thesis, for example "Barbe_A_poster.rtf". The e-mail addresses of all co-authors should be given in an abstract.
Publications
The Book of Abstracts will be published before the beginning of the Symposium as an electronic book available on the symposium web site.
Based on the materials of the HighRus-2023 Symposium, a special issue is planned to be published in the Journal of Physical Chemistry in late 2023 or early 2024. All submitted articles will undergo a standard peer review according to the rules of the Journal of Physical Chemistry, which are available at https://sciencejournals.ru/journal/fizkhim/.
All materials (a letter to the editor, manuscripts in English or Russian in Word and PDF format, a list of possible reviewers (up to 3 persons), license agreement, agreement on transfer of copyright) should be sent to Andrey STOLYAROV at avstol@gmail.com with the note "HighRus-2023 special issue". The beginning date of the manuscripts submission is 15.04.2023, the end date is 30.09.2023.
Visa support
The Organizing Committee started the preparation of the official letters for getting Russian visa. To issue an official invitation for a visa, you need to contact Evgenia ARBATSKAYA (arbatskaya.evgenia@istu.edu) from Irkutsk National Research Technical University. Documents required for issuing a visa invitation:
- A scanned copy of the passport of a participant (the passport must expire no earlier than 6 months from the date of the requested visa).
- Application form for issuing a visa invitation - filled in by a foreign citizen (available in the Extra Info section).
Depending on the citizenship of a participant, the invitation is issued either on the official Irkutsk University letterhead (5 days) or by contacting the Russian Migration Department for the Irkutsk region (40 days).
