The XVI International Symposium "Atmospheric and Ocean Optics. Atmospheric Physics" will be held at V.E. Zuev Institute of Atmospheric Optics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SB RAS), Tomsk, October 12-15, 2009. The Symposium is a traditional meeting of atmospheric and ocean optics and atmospheric physics community, which has a long history as a successor of the symposiums on Laser Propagation in Atmosphere and Laser Remote Sensing of Atmosphere beginning in the early seventies and organized by academician Vladimir Zuev. This Symposium is dated for forty-year anniversary of Institute of Atmospheric Optics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Laser and Acoustic Sounding of Atmosphere and Ocean. Diagnostics of State and Functioning of Plants' Biosystems and Biological Objects.
D. Atmospheric Physics
Structure and Dynamics of the Lower and Middle Atmosphere. Dynamics of the Atmosphere and Climate of the Asian Region. Physical Processes and Phenomena in the Earth's Thermosphere and Ionosphere. Radio and Optic Techniques for Probing the Terrestrial Atmosphere and Underlying Surface.
Format of the Symposium proposes presentations of invited papers at the plenary session, oral and poster presentations. Working languages of the Symposium are English and Russian.
A notebook (MS Office, Windows XP) with multimedia projector will be provided for oral presentations and lectures. An area of 1 m2 (one sheet of A1) will be provided for poster presentations. Please, inform us beforehand about the necessity of additional devices and/or software.
Abstracts will be printed to the beginning of the symposium. Presentations selected by organizing committee will be included in special issue of the journal "Atmospheric and ocean optics".
Registration fee is $100, it can be paid at registration or by a receipt or transferred by account. If you prefer cashless way, please contact the organizing committee no later than September 21, 2009 for preparing the account. Registration fee includes participation in sessions, book of abstracts, and the participant's set.
