VIII International Conference Atomic and Molecular Pulsed Lasers - AMPL

September 10-14, 2007, Tomsk, Russia

First Announcement

The VIII AMPL Conference will be traditionally devoted to physical processes in laser active media, new active media and pumping methods. One of the principal goals of the Conference is contiguity of fundamental and applied sciences; therefore much attention is paid to application of lasers in science, engineering, medicine and other areas of activity as well as to discussion of problems of laser-based apparatus and to new optical technologies.

The Conference Organizers are Institute of Atmospheric Optics SB RAS, Institute of High Current Electronics SB RAS, Institute of Monitoring of Climatic and Ecological System SB RAS, Tomsk State University, Tomsk Polytechnic University, Siberian Physical Technical Institute, Physical Institute RAS, General Physics Institute RAS, SPIE Russia Chapter, Russian State University for Innovation Technology and Business.

Scientific program of the Conference includes the following sessions:

  1. gas and plasma lasers (session A);
  2. metal vapor lasers (session B);
  3. dye lasers and photoprocesses in complex organic molecules (session C);
  4. physical processes in gas lasers (session D);
  5. laser systems and new laser and optical technologies, laser applications (session E);
  6. non-coherent UV and VUV-radiation sources (session F);
  7. conversion of laser radiation, optoelectronic devices (session G).
The Conference will take place in the Institute of Atmospheric Optics SB RAS. The Conference provides for listening to the invited and oral presentations and work of poster sessions as well as a young scientists session that will include a competition of reports. All Conference participants will have an opportunity to visit the research institutes and universities of Tomsk and have a sightseeing tour.
