The XVIII^th Symposium and School on High Resolution Molecular Spectroscopy

The series of High-Resolution Molecular Spectroscopy Symposia have been organized by the Institute of Atmospheric Optics SB RAS since 1972. The series was held in Russia and was known as "HighRus". The first ten symposia were called the all-Union Symposia on High Resolution Molecular Spectroscopy. From 1993 (Volga river, Moscow - Nizhny Novgorod - Moscow) HighRus became an International Symposium.

A brief history of the Symposium was outlined in the Preface to the HighRus special issue of JQSRT (2010, 111/15).

The proceedings of the X^th (1991), XI^th (1993), XII^th (1996), XIII^th (1999), XIV^th (2003), and XV^th (2006) symposia were published in the PROCEEDINGS of SPIE as volumes 1811, 2205, 3090, 4063, 5311, and 6580, respectively.

The proceedings of the XVI^th Symposium (2009, lake Baikal) were published as an electronic scientific publication and a special issue of JQSRT (2010, 111/15).
The proceedings of the XVII^th Symposium (2012, Zelenogorsk, St. Petersburg region) were published as an electronic scientific publication on the symposium website.

The Elsevier has announced the Benedict Spectroscopy Award 2015. The award will be presented at the XVIII^th Symposium and School on High Resolution Molecular Spectroscopy (HighRus-2015), in Tomsk, Russia (June 30-July 4, 2015). The awardees travel to the conference will be financially supported by Elsevier.
On behalf of the Benedict Spectroscopy Award Selection Committee, we invite you to nominate a candidate for the 2015 award. Nominations should be submitted by April 15, 2015 to the Chairman of the Selection Committee at igordon@cfa.harvard.edu. Self-nominations will not be considered.

Journal of Quantitative Spectroscopy & Radiative Transfer Special Issue
The Journal of Quantitative Spectroscopy & Radiative Transfer invites submission of articles related to the topics of the oral contributions and posters presented at HighRus-2015 in Tomsk. The manuscripts must conform to the requirements set for research articles and will be reviewed accordingly. The manuscripts must be submitted by October 1,2015.
Article Type Name. Authors are requested to choose an Article Type name upon submission, and the special issue name of “SI:HighRus-2015” should be selected. The submission system will be available from 1 July 2015 at http://ees.elsevier.com/jqsrt/.
